- Minimum required years of experience: 8 - 9 years
- Education requirements:
bachelor's not required, highly preferred
Must have skills:
- Understands basketball (this is crucial as they will be creating content based off games
- Has strong creative direction and content writing muscle. Must understand social platforms such as Instagram and X
Must have a Linked In and links to their work on resume.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Go-getter, can push work forward
- Previous Client experience is not required. Open to relocating candidates given they are responsible for co st.

Global Digital Marketing is a team of innovative thinkers dedicated to driving the cultural relevance and business of Basketball across digital ecosystem. Collaborating closely with our Basketball Brand, Creative, Sports Marketing and Geo Teams, we strive to push the boundaries of the social landscape, ensuring consumer engagement both on and off our platform.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
In this role, your primary focus will be architecting, executing, and overseeing 365 Basketball social marketing plans across our channels and partners. You’ll also support on social strategy and execution against our seasonal campaign. You’ll obsess how to make our brand, product, and seasonal messages resonate with our target consumer.
- You’ll lead the strategic development of branded content, services, partnerships, and experiences that will coalesce into best-in-class social marketing plans.
- You’ll creative direct and build content at the pulse of the game.
- You’ll collaborate closely with teams across brand, sports marketing, geo teams, and digital partners to inspire global love and advocacy for Basketball.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 7-9 years of relevant work experience
- 5 years of experience in social media and a creative direction / narrative background
- Demonstrated ability of developing social content for highly visible brands
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast‑paced, agile culture—someone who embraces and leads through change and ambiguity
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including presentation on complex business issues
- Fluency reading consumer data and crafting measurement and optimization plans
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills
- Experience managing creative, media, and research agencies
- Excellent relationship building skills and knows how to influence working teams and key partners
- Detail oriented. This position requires someone who can build plans, presentations, and keep the team moving cohesively in the right direction.
