Brand Communications Specialist – Running

Job Title:

Communications Coordinator II (Running Brand Communications)

Location:

Beaverton, OR (Hybrid – Onsite; Fridays Remote) Duration:
Approximately 5 Months (July 2026 – December 2026)

Typical Hybrid schedule, however there may be events that need to be attended on the weekends
- Expected travel as well to events listed below:

• Hood to Coast
  - August 28th-29th, 2026
• Chicago Marathon
  - October 11, 2026
• After Dark Tour - LA
  - October 24, 2026

• The nature of the work is focused on understanding and conveying company and product information to internal and external stakeholders through appropriate and effective channels.
• Foster and cultivate relationships with key media, and keep up to date on happenings.
• Not to be quoted as a spokesperson on the record unless authorized and trained by a manager.
• Organize and manage assigned projects and events. Participate in communications team idea generation.
• Follow up with employees and partners, answer questions and supply PR information.
• Work with managers to provide assistance to media on-site at special events, photo shoots, interviews and press conferences.
• Research, write and edit press releases, fact sheets, video packages and speaking points.
• Create and write PR plans; work with PR agencies and freelancers.
• Research media groups. Work with the Communications manager / director to administer the allocated budget. This includes invoicing; producing reports, working with finance and updating the team on a regular basis.

Minimum of 2-4 years directly relevant work experience

Typically requires a Bachelors Degree

• Communications background in the sports industry, ideally in the running space
• Manager is requesting a write up sample of a press release or previous communications that have put together

• Strong understanding of Running and passion for Running is preferred.
• Open to being flexible with scheduling and attending events
• Previous experience at a PR Agency or an Event Agency

• Microsoft Office
• Focused on Running Communications supporting the Running Business and Brand.
