Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Infusion

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Community Hematology/Oncology Infusion position in Oregon, requiring 2 years of oncology experience, chemo certification, and an active OR RN license.

Job Details

• Ambulatory infusion setting across a network of 5 community hematology/oncology clinic locations (Beaverton, NW Portland, Gresham, East Portland, and Tualatin),

• Adult patient population with a focus on general medical oncology and hematology,

• Primary work site is the Beaverton location,

• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00-17:30, Monday-Sunday variable with some weekend commitments,

• No on-call responsibilities,

• Floating between clinic locations is rare but may be required based on staffing needs; preferred float location will be considered based on where the traveler resides,

• Uses Epic EMR,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active Oregon (OR) RN license required,

• Current BLS certification required,

• Chemotherapy certification required,

• OCN certification preferred,

• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required,

• Minimum 1 year of ambulatory infusion experience required,

• Epic charting experience required,

• Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required (Charge RN references are not accepted),

• COVID vaccination proof required - no exemptions accepted,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient education, care coordination, and infusion nursing within the community hematology/oncology setting,

• RN navigator role with a focus on patient education and care coordination,

• Refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation,

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate - no radius restriction,

• Candidates who are former employees or previous travelers at this facility must provide a reference from the OHSU manager who supervised them,

• Former travelers or employees must have been gone for at least 6 months before returning in a travel capacity,

• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration and may not exceed 2 weeks,
