Description

American Traveler is seeking an Ambulatory Oncology Clinical RN Coordinator with 3-4 years of recent oncology experience and OCN certification (or equivalent CE) for a Beaverton clinic assignment requiring OR and WA RN licensure.

Details
  • Ambulatory Oncology Radiation Clinic setting at Beaverton Clinic
  • Works within Radiation Oncology, collaborating with Pediatric Hematology Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Medical Oncology, Hematologic Malignancies, Gynecology Oncology, Infusion services, Dietitians, Pharmacy, Social Work, and Case Management
  • Patient population includes hematologic malignancies (Leukemia, Lymphoma, Myeloma, Transplant, CAR-T, TIL, DLI) and medical oncology cases (Sarcoma, Head and Neck, Breast, Lung, GI/GU, Prostate, CNS)
  • Treats adult and pediatric patients, including non-oncology diagnoses requiring radiation treatment
  • Day shift schedule with 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Variable work schedule and work location
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Requires use of medical and non-medical unit equipment to perform essential job functions
  • Environmental exposures may include noise, human tissue/fluids, hazardous medications, and radiation
  • May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals based on unit needs
Requirements
  • Active OR and WA RN licenses required
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Current OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification, or completion of 36 cancer-related continuing education nursing contact hours per accreditation cycle
  • 3-4 years of recent oncology experience required
  • 1 year of recent ambulatory care coordination experience required
  • Epic charting experience required for consideration
  • Proof of COVID vaccination required with no exemptions accepted
Additional Information
  • Coordinate and provide exceptional oncology care as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Support radiation oncology patients across a wide range of cancer diagnoses and treatment modalities
  • Multitasking and managing frequent interruptions are common aspects of the role
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate with no mile radius restriction
  • Floating to an affiliate hospital nearby may be required; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
  • Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before returning as a travel RN
  • Up to 2 weeks of requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront at the time of consideration
