RN - Medical Surgical Progressive Care; KSMC​/Nights

About This Role

The RN in Medical Surgical Progressive Care provides comprehensive nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in a dynamic environment and are committed to patient-centered care.

• Pay: $53 - $79/hour
• Location: Clackamas, OR
• Facility: Kaiser Permanente
• Schedule: Full Time, Night shift

• Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, and self-care needs.
• Identify deviations from normal on routine lab diagnostic tests and reassess patients throughout hospitalization.
• Develop individual nursing plans of care sensitive to the developmental needs of patients.
• Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other departments and community agencies.
• Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for managing medical and/or surgical patients.
• Correctly carry out the physician's plan of care and accurately document in the EMR.
• Utilize a multidisciplinary approach when appropriate and perform all necessary procedures correctly.
• Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patients' responses to treatment.
• Participate in unit quality assurance activities.

• RN degree required

• Experience in a medical-surgical setting preferred

• Current RN License in Oregon
• BLS certification required
