Job Summary: Tektronix, a global leader in innovative and precise test and measurement technology, is seeking a Global Head of Metrology to oversee all global accreditations and scope of accreditation capabilities. The role will represent Tektronix in governmental consultation groups of Global Accredited Bodies and ILAC, and the ideal candidate will execute the responsibilities of a Metrology Specialist for the Beaverton lab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Global Accreditation Oversight:
    Manage and oversee all Tektronix global ISO/IEC 17025 accreditations and scope of accreditation capabilities, ensuring compliance with international standards, regulations, and respective Accrediting Body requirements.
  • Governmental Consultation Representation:
    Serve as Tektronix’s representative in governmental consultation groups of global accredited bodies and ILAC, advocating for the company’s interests and ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Metrology Specialist Responsibilities:
    Execute roles and responsibilities of a Metrology Specialist, including overseeing Global Authorized Service Providers, evaluating out‑of‑tolerance investigations, conducting root‑cause analyses, and closing audit nonconformities.
  • Calibration and Scheduling:
    Ensure adherence to the Standards Due Calibration and Scheduling process, including timely entry of calibration interval changes into the Laboratory Information Management System.
  • Intermediate Check Process:
    Oversee the Intermediate Check process, ensuring checks are completed per required intervals.
  • Audit Focal Point:
    Serve as primary focal point for internal and external audits, ESD compliance audits, and pre‑audit preparation in global labs.
  • 5S Audits & Uncertainty Budgets:
    Conduct 5S audits in labs and create and validate measurement uncertainty budgets.
  • Process Efficiency:
    Use FBS tools to eliminate muda and create efficiency across global labs.
  • Scope Documents:
    Collaborate with Service Center Managers to prepare CMCs, review standards, certificates, and accreditation application packages; ensure final versions are posted to a central repository.
  • Escalation:
    Escalate concerns or late actions to the Global Director of Service Engineering.
  • Metrics Tracking:
    Track and monitor metrics such as OOT evaluations, on‑site logs, compliance, recall percentage, intermediate check compliance, ILC ship‑in/out, and audit schedules for global service labs.
  • Audit Support:
    Support labs for internal and registrar audits, QMS reviews, and management reviews.
  • Support Lab Managers:
    Assist lab managers and supervisors with nonconformity source collection and capital equipment requests (CAR).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in metrology, calibration, and quality management.
  • Strong knowledge of international accreditation standards and regulations.
  • Proven experience in governmental consultation and representation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using service management software and tools.
Compensation & Benefits

This position is eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
