Full Job Description
Our client, a well‑established and growing manufacturing company with approximately 40 employees, is seeking an Account Manager to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with leadership and engineering in a collaborative, low‑bureaucracy environment. The position focuses on developing new business while managing and growing existing accounts, with a strong emphasis on consultative, made‑to‑order sales.
This is a hybrid sales role, consisting of approximately 75% inside sales and 25% client visits in the field. The ideal candidate will be a motivated “hunter” with a proven track record of generating new business and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new business opportunities through outbound prospecting and inbound leads
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts using strong relationship‑building skills
- Prepare and present quotes, re‑quotes, and pricing proposals
- Shepherd customer orders through the full sales and production process
- Collaborate closely with engineering and internal teams on custom, made‑to‑order solutions
- Maintain accurate sales data, forecasts, and customer communications in CRM systems
- Interpret customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements
- Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics
- Proven experience in B2B sales with a track record of increasing sales and generating new business
- Strong “hunter” mentality with the ability to prospect and close new accounts
- Experience in manufacturing or technical sales environments preferred
- Ability to create quotes and manage complex, custom sales processes
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents or drawings is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally (approximately 25%)
