Job Description
Vice President of Sales - Residential Development
What You'll Do Drive Business Strategy- Create and execute comprehensive sales and marketing plans that support division goals and long-term growth.
- Evaluate market conditions, competitor activity, pricing trends, and buyer demand to maximize revenue and market share.
- Provide executive recommendations on pricing, product positioning, incentives, and inventory management.
- Contribute to forecasting, land acquisition analysis, and strategic business planning.
- Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing team of sales and marketing professionals.
- Recruit top talent while fostering a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance evaluations, and sales training initiatives.
- Establish clear performance expectations and recognize individual and team success.
- Manage the complete customer sales journey from initial contract through closing.
- Ensure all contracts, disclosures, reports, and documentation are accurate, timely, and compliant.
- Monitor key performance indicators including sales pace, pricing, inventory levels, customer satisfaction, and conversion metrics.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns while maintaining a best-in-class buying experience.
- Partner with Construction, Purchasing, Design Studio, Accounting, and Project Management teams to ensure successful community launches and product delivery.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to optimize home offerings, upgrade selections, and sales center presentation.
- Support alignment between operational readiness and sales objectives.
- Direct all marketing efforts, including digital campaigns, advertising, branding, and lead generation.
- Ensure model homes and sales environments reflect the company's quality standards and brand identity.
- Manage marketing investments while maximizing return on investment and maintaining budget objectives.
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and improve the customer experience.
- Implement best practices, reporting tools, and scalable processes that support continued growth.
- Deliver consistent business updates and performance insights to executive leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related discipline preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales and marketing.
- 5+ years of new home sales experience with a production or luxury home builder.
- 3+ years leading sales teams within a public or large-scale residential builder preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, and retain top-performing sales professionals.
- Strong understanding of residential real estate sales, pricing strategy, inventory management, and market analysis.
- Excellent financial, analytical, and business planning skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/business management software.
- A strategic mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences and achieving ambitious business objectives.
