Fleet Mechanic - Night Shift

• Help maintain and repair class 8 trucks and trailers, including hydraulic repair, brake work, electrical repairs, and welding.
• May perform service repairs in the field.
• May have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of units from small fleet vehicles to class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Complete all necessary paperwork.
• Own basic hand tools;
  Knife River provides job‑specific tools, large tooling when needed, and has a replacement policy.
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Hours:

9:00 pm – 6:00 am (Later start / finish time available). Sunday–Thursday or Monday–Friday available.

• Previous mechanical experience on class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Strong trouble‑shooting skills.
• Welding and fabrication experience desirable.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam, and drug screen.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members.
