Responsibilities
The Residential Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, configuring, reconstructing and programming existing security and site automation solutions. Key duties include:
- Services fire and carbon monoxide detection, networking, hosted video solutions, and access control.
- Follow and complete required processes of wired/wireless technology and connection procedures.
- Test and validate system signals/communication with central monitoring to properly establish service.
- Serve as a customer service champion, demonstrating willingness to help customers fix issues and understand protection.
- Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
- Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
- Read blueprints, building and electrical plans to complete equipment repairs.
- Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs.
- Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other designated agencies.

- Valid driver’s license.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years experience installing and inspecting/repairing ADT or comparable product line.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to read building electrical and sprinkler plans.
- Physical ability to stand, stoop, lift, climb, crawl.

The pay range for this role is $21.29–$39.43 per hour (plus commission where necessary) and is based on experience and qualifications. Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year, with increased accrual after the first year, and also receive six paid holidays.
