Retail Field Technician

MTI is looking for a Retail Field Technician to install, troubleshoot, merchandise, and maintain interactive consumer electronic displays and devices at retail locations. This role includes installing MTI’s own security components across stores such as AT&T, T‑Mobile, and other major retailers.

It is a very flexible sideline up to part‑time position offering flexibility in hours, W2 employment with bi‑weekly pay, paid training, and paid drive time and mileage to each service appointment.

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain interactive consumer electronic displays and devices.
• Install and support MTI's security hardware components.
• Perform general merchandising and keep displays in optimal condition.
• Resolve technical issues on‑site in a timely manner.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing MTI.

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Tech‑savvy with ability to troubleshoot electronics, set up displays, and use mobile devices for photo and data uploads.
• Strong communication skills via phone, text, and email.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to varied work assignments, and pursue Monday‑Friday schedules.
• Experience with hand tools, electrical components, and mechanical work is preferred but not mandatory.
• Willingness to undergo paid training and on‑the‑job training.

• Regularly stand, walk, bend over, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, balance, grasp, push or pull, talk, hear, and drive.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Climb a ladder no more than 10 feet.

• Typical retail environment with average noise and lighting levels.
• Constant interruptions from customers and store staff.
