As a Repair Technician, you repair and overhaul electrical power supplies and magnetic components used in the aerospace industry, with a focus on aircraft auxiliary power units (APUs), generator control units (GCUs), and related systems. You work on a variety of applications, including permanent magnet generators for engine OEM companies with FADEC and ignition applications, fly-by-wire aircraft APU systems, and wound field generators that provide both DC and AC power for aircraft and UAVs.

• Repair and overhaul electrical power supplies and magnetic components used in aircraft APUs, GCUs, and related aerospace power generation systems.
• Work on permanent magnet generators for FADEC and ignition applications, fly-by-wire APU systems, and wound field generators providing main or accessory DC and AC power for aircraft and UAVs.
• Perform overhauls and repairs in strict accordance with the Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), Service Bulletins, Technical Data Sheets (TDS), and applicable blueprints.
• Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, calipers, pliers, and micrometers to disassemble, repair, assemble, and adjust units and components.
• Conduct test functions following Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) to verify performance and determine root cause of failures.
• Perform teardowns, overhauls, and functional testing of APU and GCU units and their individual components to ensure proper operation.
• Ensure all repair work is completed according to established procedures and using the correct document revision and technical data.
• Diagnose equipment issues using mechanical and electrical troubleshooting techniques to identify faults and corrective actions.
• Exercise autonomy and problem-solving skills to decide whether to repair or replace components, taking cost and reliability into account.
• Consult with colleagues, inspectors, and other partners to review findings, confirm corrective actions, and maintain high-quality standards.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and shop drawings to guide repair, assembly, and testing work.
• Handle, position, test, and troubleshoot delicate equipment, including lifting components up to 40 pounds safely and carefully.

• At least 1 year of relevant experience repairing mechanical and/or electrical components.
• Ability to repair, overhaul, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical assemblies in a technical environment.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including working with voltage, electrical testing, and diagnostic procedures.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding basic blueprints and shop drawings.
• Ability to use common hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, calipers, pliers, and micrometers for precise mechanical and electrical work.
• Capability to perform teardowns, overhauls, and functional testing on APU and GCU units and related components.
• Ability to follow detailed technical documentation, including CMMs, Service Bulletins, Technical Data Sheets, and Acceptance Test Procedures.
• Physical ability to lift and handle delicate equipment up to 40 pounds and maneuver units for positioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Eligibility to pass FAA screening to be placed in a DOT-regulated drug testing pool, as required for work on regulated aerospace components.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, with ability to provide proof of education.

• Experience in an aerospace, power generation, or similar repair station environment is beneficial.
• Familiarity with auxiliary power units (APUs), generator control units (GCUs), and aircraft power generation and conversion equipment is an advantage.
