Freight Solutions Specialist

As a Freight Solutions Specialist, you’ll work closely with freight transportation providers - identifying, sourcing, and developing dependable carrier partnerships. Candidates must have experience in freight dispatch or transportation/logistics and be comfortable speaking on the phone with both customers and service providers. Success in this role will require a proactive, self-motivated achiever who takes personal accountability for reaching their goals and those of Top Flight Transportation.

What You’ll Do:

• Source and dispatch freight loads to qualified carriers
• Negotiate rates with carriers and provide quotes to customers
• Track and manage shipments, keeping customers updated on status
• Monitor customer portals and carrier boards for available loads; proactively reach out to secure freight tenders
• Build and maintain strong carrier relationships
• Cover vacationing brokers and contribute to team revenue goals

Who You Are:

• A dispatcher or carrier manager with experience coordinating freight that includes 48’ Flatbed and Dry Vans
• Skilled in working with both large trucking companies and independent owner-operators
• Confident on the phone, with solid negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of higher education and 2+ years of relevant freight/logistics experience OR 4+ years of relevant experience with no formal education requirement
• English required; bilingual in Spanish or Russian a plus
• Able to reliably commute to Beaverton, OR
• Quarterly bonuses based on gross margin of freight booked
