Supports inventory and purchasing operations through order entry, purchase order processing, RMA administration, inventory monitoring, cycle counting, and inventory record maintenance. This position follows established procedures to ensure inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment while developing knowledge of inventory control and procurement processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Enter and process customer sales orders accurately and timely.
- Create and maintain purchase orders in accordance with company purchasing procedures.
- Process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) and ensure proper documentation and tracking.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records within the company's ERP system.
- Conduct routine inventory cycle counts and verify inventory accuracy.
- Complete routine inventory transfers between locations, departments, or inventory bins.
- Research and process inventory adjustments as necessary to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist in resolving inventory-related issues.
- Maintain organized procurement and inventory documentation.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Operations, Sales, and Warehouse teams to support business needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- 1-2 years of prior experience in inventory control, purchasing, order entry, data entry, or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience using ERP systems and the ability to quickly learn new software;
Acumatica experience is a plus. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with inventory management and procurement processes.
- Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Regularly performs duties that require standing, walking, bending, and lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to perform periodic inventory counts within warehouse or inventory storage areas.
