Ameri Staff Employment & Staffing Solutions is seeking an Administrative Assistant in the Rocky Mount, VA area. The ideal candidate will provide front office support, assist with administrative and clerical functions, and serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers while maintaining efficient day-to-day office operations.
Benefits of the Administrative Assistant:- Pay: $15/hr.
- Hours:
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls through the central phone system.
- Greet visitors and provide assistance to customers, employees, and the public.
- Respond to inquiries and refer individuals to the appropriate person or department when necessary.
- Prepare outgoing mail and sort and distribute incoming mail.
- Operate and maintain office equipment, including copiers and postage machines.
- Maintain office and kitchen supply inventories.
- Keep reception and common areas organized and presentable.
- Assist with mailings and prepare envelopes and materials for distribution.
- Compose, type, and edit correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other documents.
- Develop and maintain office forms and procedures.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one year of related administrative or clerical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in general office practices, including filing, typing, bookkeeping, and recordkeeping preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Professional demeanor and ethical conduct.
- Dependable and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain confidentiality.
