About The Opportunity
Full-time (Hybrid) Program Assistant III – LPN to BSN Program Assistant (12 months). The role provides administrative and mission support for the LPN to BSN Program Track Coordinator and nursing program. The applicant reports to the WVU School of Nursing:
Beckley Department Chairperson. The contract starts January 2027. The position requires 37.5 hours per week, with some evenings and Saturdays as needed.

- Provide administrative support to the Track Coordinator and Department Chair.
- Perform daily administrative tasks according to institutional policies, state and federal guidelines.
- Manage multiple work assignments to meet deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional representation.
- Compose correspondence (letters, reports, proposals, charts, spreadsheets, forms, memoranda).
- Coordinate meeting arrangements for Chair, Track Coordinator, and faculty.
- Maintain organized filing systems.
- Answer department phones, screen calls, and communicate messages.
- Maintain office and nursing program physical space, including inventories.
- Obtain necessary training to carry out duties.
- Provide reporting data for accreditation requirements (WVRN Board, CCNE).
- Maintain affiliation agreements and related documents.
- Manage department and grant budgets via WVU accounting systems.
- Function as liaison to other School of Nursing programs.
- Assist with simulation lab scheduling, set‑up, and clean‑up.
- Track student medical records, background checks, enrollment projections, and graduation dates.
- Track student grades and GPA to ensure compliance with progression standards.
- Prepare graduation documents and lists with Coordinator and Chair.
- Supervise work‑study students and submit time.
- Organize and maintain faculty retention, promotion, and tenure files.
- Support Chair in documenting evidence for performance reviews.
- Assist orientation of new faculty, staff, and students and maintain related documents.
- Help marketing and recruiting of the nursing program.
Pay Grade 15
Qualifications- Associate degree in business, office administration, or directly related field.
- Minimum two years of directly related experience supporting an administrator or work unit, or equivalent combination of experience and training.
- All qualifications must be met at hiring.
