This role works closely with the Director of Plant Operations, hospital departments, vendors, and tradespersons to maintain regulatory compliance, minimize disruptions to patient care, and ensure the hospital environment remains safe and operational.

As a Plant Operations Coordinator
, you will excel by:
- Assist the Director of Plant Operations with daily departmental operations and administrative functions.
- Maintain and organize life safety documentation and records to support regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Coordinate and document Environment of Care (EOC) rounding activities and follow-up actions.
- Track, organize, and maintain departmental compliance records and reports.
- Serve as a liaison with vendors and contractors, assisting with scheduling, documentation, and communication.
- Monitor vendor performance and maintain vendor files, contracts, and service records.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and correspondence using Microsoft Office applications.
- Support work order tracking and departmental recordkeeping.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and coordinating departmental projects.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems.
- Support department readiness for inspections, audits, and surveys.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Plant Operations.

- A high school diploma or equivalent required; two years of college or related coursework preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, facilities, maintenance, plant operations, or a similarly regulated environment preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple work orders, schedules, records, and competing priorities.
- Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment, make decisions, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through, particularly when managing work orders, compliance documentation, inspections, records, and tracking systems.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
