Job Overview
Join Appvion as a Business Development Manager (Mid‑Atlantic territory) to drive revenue growth and expand market presence across core and specialty product lines.
Responsibilities- Build and manage a strategic pipeline of new business opportunities, delivering at least four qualified opportunities annually with sales management approval.
- Achieve annual revenue and margin targets by developing new distribution relationships and growing existing accounts.
- Establish account‑specific annual sales goals and deliver quarterly updates on progress, trends, and opportunities.
- Execute promotional campaigns with channel partners to increase sales of core and specialty products, leading at least two initiatives per year.
- Provide quarterly market insights and forecasting support for the annual budgeting process.
- Maintain consistent, high‑quality communication and service with internal teams and external partners.
- Lead regular account visits based on a set schedule (Tier 1 every 4 to 6 weeks, Tier 2 every 8 weeks).
- Submit timely updates, participate in bi‑weekly sales calls, and present territory performance during quarterly executive meetings.
- Manage and stay within your annual travel and expense budget.
- Uphold a positive, collaborative team mindset and demonstrate leadership across the sales organization.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in B2B business development or sales, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial products.
- Demonstrated success managing and growing channel or distribution partnerships.
- Strong ability to build, track, and convert sales pipelines using CRM and data analysis tools.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on execution and measurable outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Proven time management and organizational skills in a field‑based or hybrid role.
- Willingness to travel regularly to meet with accounts and attend internal meetings.
- A proactive, goal‑oriented attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer value.
