Position Overview

West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) is inviting applications for adjunct faculty positions in the Leonard

C. Nelson School of Engineering. These part‑time, salary‑per‑course positions are available for the Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, and Construction Management programs. All positions are part‑time and not benefits‑eligible.

• Teach primarily in‑person undergraduate classes and laboratory courses, with the possibility of teaching some online courses.
• Prepare instructional materials and assess student performance in accordance with program standards.
• Maintain a professional engagement with students, providing support and guidance as needed.

• Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in the program’s field or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of full‑time professional work and/or teaching experience in the program’s field.
• A Ph.D. in the closely related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, responsiveness to student needs, and effective communication skills.
