Role Summary

This Campus Aide will primarily support supervision of students during lunch, recess, transitions, and provide clerical support for teachers and office staff.

Responsibilities
  • Student mentorship: provide behavioral guidance and support, encourage positive interactions and activities that foster physical and emotional growth.
  • Teacher support: classroom behavior assistance, instructional assistance, tutoring in subject areas, maintain clean and safe classrooms, prepare instructional materials, and maintain communication with teachers.
  • Other duties: supervise hallways, coordinate the meal system, support restorative justice practices in the discipline process, and perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum:
  • High school diploma required.
  • Ability to connect and build relationships with students and families.
  • Ability to facilitate connections with students and faculty.
  • Experience working with at‑risk youth a plus.
  • Proactive approach essential.
Desired:
  • Bachelor's Degree or college course units toward BA desired.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, advocacy skills; fluency in Spanish highly desired.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Korean preferred.

Working Conditions / Work Environment
  • Indoor typical school and office settings with occasional exposure to extreme or varying temperatures, outdoor elements, loud noise, fumes, smoke, dust.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged sitting/standing, frequent walking.
  • Occasional/frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling objects not more than 30 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, climbing, crawling, or squatting.
  • Frequent reaching, twisting, above shoulder height.
  • Manual dexterity, repetitive motion, writing, typing.
  • Frequent computer use.
  • Speaking and hearing essential; constant communication in person, on phone, or remote video.
  • Attend worksite, occasional travel for meetings or conferences.
  • Wear appropriate safety equipment: gloves, goggles, aprons, belts, etc.
