- Develop and implement the educational program within the classroom and perform duties as required by the building principal.
- Provide each student with individualized attention to achieve their highest potential.
- Record and report student achievement accurately, following school administration policy.
- Maintain professional conduct with superiors, co‑workers, parents, and students.
- Generate all required reporting to the immediate supervisor.
- Perform supervisory duties related to hall duty, bus duty, lunch duty, and other necessary school operations.
- Implement the classroom program of study.
- Create a learning‑conducive climate.
- Utilize instructional management systems to enhance student learning and maximize time on task.
- Monitor and report student progress toward learning outcomes.
- Maintain and upgrade professional skills and teaching techniques.
- Promote and maintain positive pupil‑teacher‑parent relationships.
- Maintain professional work habits, attitude, and appearance.
- Incorporate differentiated instruction.
- Co‑teach when applicable.
- Implement Multi‑Tiered System of Support (MTSS) within the school/classroom.
- Integrate technology within the classroom.
- Valid teacher certification for the assigned grade level and subject from the West Virginia Department of Education.
- Completion of a recognized teacher preparation program.
- Demonstrated ability to meet the responsibilities listed above.
