Reading & Math Interventionist

Interventionist will:
Provide tiered reading and math instructional support to identified students in K-5 (max. 30 hours/wk.)

Work schedule:

Schedule to be determined by principal at a rate of $25 per hour, up to 30 hours per week, up to 35 weeks for the  school term. Duties/Responsibilities:
Work with students who meet the federal programs criteria for targeted intervention Work with school principal, teachers and teams to develop/implement research-based intervention using evidence-based reading and math strategies Provide virtual interventions when necessary Create/maintain support for students in small group settings Maintain student records based on interventions, progress monitoring, benchmarks and other diagnostic assessments according to prescribed procedures Maintain confidentiality of student records Work cooperatively with students, staff, and parents to share knowledge and maintain integrity of the intervention process

Qualifications:

Appropriate WV elementary certification Experience and/or training in College and Career Ready Standards and technology skills Knowledge/training/experience with WV multi-tiered systems of support Demonstrates flexibility in working with groups and staff Experience in working with students K-5 Demonstrates effective small group instruction that addresses individual student needs Excellent skills in planning and preparation of lessons (in-class and virtual) for small group or individual instruction
