QUALIFICATIONS:
Holds a high school diploma or GED; holds or qualifies for "Aide" classification; assist and provide support and instruction to students with special needs, as well as general education students; possess strong oral and written communication skills; interpersonal skills; holds valid CPR and first aid card.
RESPONSIBILITIES:The Aide employed for the purpose of working within the special education program will be required to ride the bus, as needed;
Assist the teacher in the classroom;
Assist children with personal care needs;
Physically capable of lifting children in need of assistance;
Supervise students with special needs;
Assist with small group and individual academic instruction;
Monitor and support student behaviors;
Support with physical and medical needs;
Medicaid billing, as needed;
Other duties as assigned per the Director of Special Education and/or Building Level Administration.
Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
