EMPLOYMENT TERM: 261 days
SALARY: Pursuant to WV Code §18A-4-17, salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package ( WVSDT Benefits & Total Rewards ) equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent will provide leadership, coordination, and support to ensure alignment of curriculum, delivery of high quality professional development, and promotion of effective teaching and learning within Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Adult Education programs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership, administration, guidance, and support for CTE, Adult Education, and reentry education at adult facilities within the WVSDT district.
- Conduct regular site visits and provide ongoing technical assistance to assigned facilities to support program implementation and improvement.
- Coordinate activities related to including accountability measures, curriculum reviews, and program evaluations for all adult education within the WVSDT.
- Collect, analyze, and report student educational data to monitor program performance, identify trends, and support continuous improvement and expansion within a Simulated Workplace environment.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and quality of all curriculum and coordinate appropriate technical assistance, including professional development, curriculum refinement, and assessment improvements.
- Assess and recommend CTE equipment needs to ensure programs are aligned with industry standards and instructional goals.
- Collaborate with Curriculum Support Specialists (CSS), WVDE staff, and other stakeholders to develop and implement Integrated Education and Training Programs (IETP), apprenticeship programs, and prioritized curriculum resources; provide oversight of apprenticeship initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with principals, teachers, and stakeholders through on-site support, coaching, and collaboration.
- Develop and deliver high-quality professional development aligned with district goals, including presentations at conferences and other professional learning events.
- Support the Adult Programs Principal in program oversight, planning, and operational needs.
- Assist with the teacher certification and renewal process to ensure compliance with certification requirements for all adult educators and work collaboratively with WVSDT Human Resources.
- Collaborate with WVDE offices and external partners to support system, school, and classroom improvement efforts.
- Remain current on WVDE initiatives, curriculum resources, software, and partner platforms to support program alignment and implementation.
- Research and disseminate evidence-based instructional practices and support their implementation across WVSDT programs.
- Maintain a focus on continuous improvement of curriculum, instruction, and student outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Master's degree in an education-related field.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices, curriculum development, and program evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with principals, teachers, and district/state partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience facilitating adult learning and professional development.
- Proficiency with technology, digital platforms, and data systems used to support instruction, program management, and reporting.
- Experience in data analysis and using data to drive decision-making and program improvement.
- Experience developing or supporting online content, instructional resources, or professional learning materials.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and the use of research and data to inform instructional practices.
