Job Summary

Working under general supervision of the (Sr.) Manager Partner Business Development, the Sr. Solutions Specialist works directly with Connection sellers and their respective client portfolios to drive demand and pipeline for complex IT cloud infrastructure and software solutions while increasing rapid acceptance of converged, hyperconverged and cloud computing technologies. After assessing the needs of the client, the specialist designs and recommends complex solutions, engages with partner engineering on design and pricing, and trains and supports sellers in packaging, pricing and presenting cloud solutions to clients.

Responsibilities
  • Drive demand and pipeline for cloud infrastructure and software solutions through application‑centric customer and sales engagement.
  • Analyze business systems infrastructure utilizing computing platform applications.
  • Clarify clients’ mission‑critical application needs and partner with appropriate ISVs.
  • Define and articulate a hybrid cloud journey for clients and sellers.
  • Design solutions and develop customer proposals.
  • Deliver well‑prepared business solution proposals that connect the solution to business outcomes.
  • Differentiates partner solutions from competitors’ solutions.
  • Collaborate and employ thought leadership around data center solutions with internal, partner cross‑functional teams and senior level management (CXO) levels.
Compensation

For the partner funded position, there is an opportunity to earn additional compensation based on performance. Part of the total compensation includes a variable bonus paid on a quarterly basis.

Minimum salary: USD $75,000.00/Yr.
Maximum salary: USD $96,000.00/Yr.

Qualifications
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Cisco Web Ex and relevant internal business systems.
  • Working knowledge of relevant practice area technologies and related product solutions (datacenter, networking, security, cloud, converged, hyperconverged) and ability to create well‑organized plans and business cases for clients.
  • High aptitude to stay current and train on related technology areas.
  • Account planning skills with experience in up‑sell and cross‑sell strategies.
  • Adept at providing technical solutions based on customer needs per the practice area.
  • Analytical ability to assess the customer’s business systems requirements.
  • Action oriented with strong executional skills.
  • Self‑motivated and results‑driven.
  • Excellent time‑management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven experience managing projects and delivering expectations, both internally and with clients.
  • Proven success at working collaboratively with sales and internal colleagues to solve technical problems.
  • Multi‑tasker with high energy, excelling in a fast‑paced, dynamic call center environment.
