Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
This structured, competency-based apprenticeship offers paid on-the-job training, mentorship, and technical education. Apprentices will learn to maintain, repair, and improve production and packaging equipment including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systemsassuming more responsibility as they progress under expert supervision.
Tackle, think along, take responsibility- Learn to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Learn electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic control systems
- Assist with equipment installations, adjustments, and modifications
- Learn proper use of hand tools, power tools, electrical test equipment, meters, and diagnostic equipment
- Follow all Mettler Packaging safety policies and procedures
Requirements
What you should bring with you- High school diploma
- Willingness and ability to learn mechanical and electrical maintenance skills
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable attendance, positive attitude, and ability to work with others
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
