Overview
Friends of Deckers Creek (FODC) is a grass roots nonprofit organization committed to building a community around a Clean Deckers Creek. FODC was founded in 1995 when Deckers Creek was a dead stream, acidified and running red for its entire length. Through the efforts of FODC and its partners, Deckers Creek is now a clear creek highlighted by numerous waterfalls, swimming holes, and fishing spots, coming into its own as a clean and valuable recreation asset.
Deckers Creek’s mouth is in the heart of downtown Morgantown in West Virginia.

This will allow the VISTA member to have access to professional networks within the state for further professional development opportunities.
