Non-Profit & Social Impact
Non-Profit / Outreach, Volunteer / Humanitarian, Fundraising / Charity, Community Health
Our organization is a community-based nonprofit working to strengthen the local food economy, expand market access for small farmers, and increase access to healthy, affordable food for families. Through initiatives like our Public Market and Food Hub development, we support farm and food entrepreneurs while addressing food insecurity and economic opportunity. Located in a vibrant rural region with growing local food momentum, our community offers strong partnerships, access to outdoor recreation, and a collaborative, small-town environment where innovation can thrive.
The VISTA member will focus on building organizational capacity by developing grant strategies, strengthening volunteer systems, creating fundraising efforts, and expanding community outreach and partnerships. They will help formalize systems that increase earned revenue, expand farmer participation, and deepen impact for low-income households. This is a capacity‑building role focused on creating sustainable frameworks, tools, and strategies that will continue beyond the service year.
