Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry position on a 3rd Floor M/S-Telemetry unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and an active WV or compact RN license.

• 13-week contract at an acute care hospital in Beckley, WV
• Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit on the 3rd Floor
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Rotating schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week, per pay period (no block scheduling)
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6, though ratios may fluctuate with census and call-ins
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Orientation is conducted bi-weekly
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• Travel pairs (two travelers placed together on the same unit) are generally not permitted

• Active WV or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), and NIH Stroke Scale
• Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Telemetry experience required
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Valid Driver's License required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
