Seeking an experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in a GI Endoscopy department. This role supports diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures and requires strong procedural nursing skills, patient monitoring, and collaboration with the endoscopy team.
Candidates must have at least one year of endoscopy experience and be comfortable with a broad scope of GI procedures.
Responsibilities- Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care for endoscopy patients
- Assist with patient preparation, monitoring, and recovery
- Support procedures including:
- EGD
- Colonoscopy
- ERCP
- Bronchoscopy
- Feeding tube placements
- Perform patient assessments and monitor for complications
- Administer medications per physician orders and department protocol
- Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech
- Participate in weekend and on-call coverage as needed
- Float as needed per department policy
- Active West Virginia RN license
- BLS
- ACL
- Minimum 1 year Endoscopy RN experience
- Experience with EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy, and feeding tube placements required
- Candidates must reside 60+ miles from facility to qualify as travel
- All required certifications must be active prior to start
- Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Day Shift)
- 36 hours guaranteed weekly (department-designated)
- Weekend coverage:
Every other / as needed - On-call required:
As needed - Department size: 4-bed unit
- Patient population:
Adult and Geriatric - Orientation held biweekly on Wednesdays
- 16 hours non-billable orientation
- Scrubs:
Navy Blue or hospital OR scrubs (no casual wear) - Level III Trauma facility
Must have at least 1 year endoscopy experience with EGD/Colonoscopy/ERCP/Bronchoscopy and feeding tube placements.
Candidates must be 60+ miles from facility to qualify as travel.
ACLS and BLS required prior to start.
Weekend and on-call coverage required as needed.
Start dates typically align with biweekly Wednesday orientation.
