The main Operating Room features seven fully equipped procedure rooms, each staffed with one circulator and two surgical technologists per room to ensure optimal patient care and support. The OR team handles a wide array of specialties, including orthopedic and orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, general surgery, gynecology, vascular, podiatry, spine procedures, DaVinci robotic cases, trauma, and urology. Nurses working in this unit must maintain current certifications in PALS, BLS, and ACLS.

The OR accommodates both inpatient and outpatient cases, offering a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Supervises nursing and support staff during assigned shifts and ensures safe, quality care.
• Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
• Patient Populations Served:
  Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
• Protected Health Information Accessed:
  Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
• Exposure:
  Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is present for all employees.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
• Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.
• The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.
