Raleigh General Hospital Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery. Job Type: Full Time Nights.

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision; must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living: personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

• Education:
  
  Associate's Degree in Nursing required;
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• License:
  Current RN to practice in the state of KY. New graduates may work under a KY provisional license for up to six months with the expectation that an RN license will be obtained within the first six months of employment. If a provisional licensee does not earn an RN license within six months, they must cease practicing in a licensed nursing position.
• Certifications:
  
  BCLS; ACLS & PALS required within six months of hire.
