Registered Nurse; RN; PACU

Overview

Raleigh General Hospital is part of Lifepoint Health and is a 300‑bed hospital located in Beckley, WV. The PACU provides care with a patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 and includes 6‑8 bays. This PRN, In‑Person Registered Nurse (RN) position is a vital part of that unit.

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provides age‑ and condition‑appropriate nursing care.
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record.
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.

• Current state RN license and an associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certification required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.
