Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Urology

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Urology department will be responsible for providing direct patient care, monitoring, documenting, and communicating patient status, and executing plan of care interventions. This role is essential to the smooth operation of a fast-paced clinic environment focused on urologic conditions affecting the urinary tract and reproductive system.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitor and document patient status and vital signs.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and patients.
• Assist in the execution of the plan of care interventions, including specimen collection.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records using an electronic health record system.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the clinic environment.

Qualifications:

• Current LPN license to practice in West Virginia, in good standing with the Board of Health Professions.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred; experience in Urology is a plus.
• Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.

Work environment:

This position is based in a medical office setting, specifically within the Urology department. The successful candidate will work during day shifts and will not be required to work weekends. The role has no call requirements.

Dress code:

Attire consists of scrubs of any color. Prohibited clothing includes denim, sweatpants, excessively short or tight clothing, and open-toed shoes.
