Temporary part‑time or full‑time Research Associate I, II, III positions may become available throughout the year with AgNext at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. These positions will focus on advancing the sustainability, productivity, and resilience of beef and/or dairy systems through independent and collaborative research. A B.A./B.S. in a related field at the time of hire is required. This pool will close at 11:59 PM (MT) on 6/30/26.

• Conduct laboratory, field, or computational research activities.
• Collect, manage, and analyze research data.
• Assist with experimental design and protocol implementation.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and documentation.
• Contribute to manuscripts, reports, and presentations.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, graduate students, and other research personnel.

Specific duties will be defined at the time of hire by the supervising faculty member.

This position reports to a faculty member within the Department of Animal Sciences. Day‑to‑day supervision and expectations are defined by the supervising faculty member.

Research Associate I

• B.A./B.S. in a related field, or an associate degree with 2 years of relevant specialized training/experience, or a high school diploma (or GED) with 4 years of relevant specialized training/experience.
• 1–3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and customer service.
• Exemplary organizational and time‑management skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Research Associate II

• B.A./B.S. in a related field, or 3 or more years of relevant professional experience, or a master’s degree with no experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and customer service.
• Exemplary organizational and time‑management skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Research Associate III

• B.A./B.S. in a related field, or 5 or more years of experience, or a master’s degree with 2 years of experience. PhD with no experience may also be considered.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and customer service.
• Exemplary organizational and time‑management skills.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.
