By joining us you’ll be solving challenging problems within a talented team and a culture built for high performance. Our team out‑think, out‑work and out‑care. About

the Role

As a Territory Manager at Halter, you will play a critical role in driving new business growth and ensuring customer success within your designated territory. You will be responsible for executing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and meeting ambitious growth targets, all while acting as Halter’s on‑the‑ground representative. This role requires a proactive and hands‑on approach, with a focus on both expansion and long‑term customer satisfaction.

You will prioritize daily efforts that optimize performance and drive value for your customers. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, including Product, Support, and Customer Onboarding, you’ll share field insights to ensure Halter’s technology continues to meet the needs of US farmers. Your day‑to‑day could include being on horseback, helping customers gather their cattle, riding side‑by‑side across pastures, talking about how Halter could benefit their pastures, or attending industry events like Cattle Con or local livestock association meetups.

This role covers the entire state of West Virginia, and frequent travel is required as part of this role.

Responsibilities
  • Prospecting new business: drive up driveways, attend local cattle auctions, and meet with livestock associations to build your new business pipeline through outbound lead generation efforts. Field inbound leads in a timely manner and prioritize administrative tasks with in‑field activities.
  • In‑field sales: help potential customers before diving into the value of Halter, dropping off coffee during calving season, and making the experience memorable.
  • Expanding existing opportunities: expand relationships and find new ways to increase value over time, with a focus on collars for ranchers that may not collar all cows.
  • Hitting sales targets: manage pipeline effectively, keeping today’s deals and next month in view.
  • Customer account management: maintain close relationships after the sale, provide support, address challenges, and ensure a smooth handoff to customer onboarding and deployment.
  • Territory ownership: own the entire territory, meet with local, state, and federal stakeholders, and build lasting relationships with regional agricultural groups.
  • Customer onboarding: own the end‑to‑end onboarding experience and ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation even when handing off to other teams.
  • Field learnings & feedback: serve as primary point of contact for gathering customer feedback and advocate for customers’ needs.
  • Collaboration with support teams: partner across Halter to resolve issues quickly and keep customers fully supported.
  • Attendance at industry events: generate leads and deepen relationships through demonstrations and networking.
  • Contribution to US sales strategy: work with the broader team to optimize and evolve the sales process for the US market.
Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel frequently within your territory.
Bonus
  • Familiarity with precision agriculture or virtual fencing technologies.
  • Background in customer‑facing roles within agriculture technology.
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions in a B2B environment.
Benefits
  • Annual USD 750 personal development budget.
  • Health benefits with best‑in‑class insurance.
  • 16 weeks paid parental leave for primary caregivers, 8 weeks for secondary caregivers.
  • Unlimited paid annual leave and wellness leave.
  • 401(k) with a 100% match on the first 3% of contributions and a 50% match on the next 2%.
  • Inclusive remuneration package including salary, benefits, and employee stock ownership plan.
