Lead Technician — Power Washing Jobs in Gaithersburg, MD (Montgomery County) (Henry’s Housework Inc.) is a veteran‑owned, family‑operated exterior cleaning company with over 35 years of experience and more than 75,000 satisfied clients across the DC Metro Area. We are based in Gaithersburg, Maryland and are looking for an experienced, dependable Lead Technician to join our growing team and help us deliver exceptional results on every job.

    Monday–Friday (some Saturdays depending on workload)
Responsibilities

As Lead Technician, you’ll be responsible for managing day‑to‑day field operations on job sites across the Montgomery County area. You’ll oversee a crew, ensure quality standards are met, and serve as the primary point of contact between the field and the office. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supervising a crew of field technicians on residential and commercial job sites
  • Ensuring all work meets ’s quality and safety standards
  • Operating and overseeing truck‑mounted and trailer‑mounted pressure washing equipment
  • Performing and directing house washing, roof soft washing, driveway cleaning, deck/fence washing, gutter cleaning, and building exterior cleaning
  • Communicating with clients professionally on‑site and addressing any concerns or questions
  • Reporting job status, equipment issues, and crew performance to the office
  • Training newer technicians on proper equipment use, safety procedures, and job techniques
  • Performing pre‑ and post‑job equipment checks and basic maintenance
  • Safely managing work at heights including ladders, scaffolding, and man‑lifts
Pay & Benefits

Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience in pressure washing, exterior cleaning, or a closely related trade
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, and motivate a small crew
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record — required for driving company vehicles and towing trailers
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently — essential for communicating job instructions to crew members and clients accurately; errors in communication can result in property damage or safety hazards
  • Physical ability to perform demanding outdoor labor in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet all day
  • Comfortable and experienced working at heights (ladders, rooftops, man‑lifts)
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Reliable transportation to report to our Gaithersburg facility each morning
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of pressure washing or exterior cleaning experience
  • Prior supervisory or crew lead experience in a field service role
  • Experience with soft wash chemical application systems
  • Experience operating 32′ ladders, scaffolding, or man‑lifts
  • Familiarity with truck‑mounted pressure washing systems
  • Veterans of any military branch or public service — strongly encouraged to apply
