Dump Truck Driver Job Description Summary

Employee essential in the mobilization of materials between facilities, job sites, and customers. Employee is also expected to help in the yard as needed and operate a loader.

• Deliver product and material goods in a safe and timely manner.
• Coordinate delivery schedules using most efficient routes.
• Perform safety inspection of the vehicle before delivery including tire pressure, basic fluid levels, and pneumatic controls.
• Provide customer service.
• Follow policies and procedures to ensure the job is done properly.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Physical ability to operate equipment and transport material.
• Maintain a courteous and professional manner with co‑workers, customers, and the public.
• Follow OSHA/MSHA safety standards.
• Be flexible with last‑minute schedule changes, location shifts, and overtime work may be required.
• Show initiative to assist in other positions for job completion.
• Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain PPE in functional condition.
• Pass drug test and background check.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Prior driving experience or current certification from a DOT‑compliant CDL Driving School required.
