The FP&A Manager oversees full-cycle financial functions—including budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and executive reporting for the business.
Reporting directly to business leadership, this role serves as a key strategic partner to the VP/GM, delivering financial insights that drive profitable growth, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Business Partnership:- Partner with the VP/GM to align financial strategy with core business objectives and drive revenue growth.
- Deliver actionable insights and financial modeling to support executive decision-making and operational strategy.
- Lead the annual Operating Plan, monthly high-level forecasts, and quarterly financial reviews across all business facilities.
- Ensure full-cycle data delivery and compliance with corporate deadlines via financial management system.
- Build and maintain comprehensive financial models using historical data, market analysis, and backlog trends.
- Facilitate and review executive PowerPoint decks for corporate Operating Plan and forecast reviews.
- Analyze volume, shipment profit variances, and product mix by market to draft commentary for the President's Report.
- Lead cross-functional product profitability teams to analyze margin trends and eliminate low-margin product offerings.
- Collaborate with IT, Sales, and Marketing on pricing updates and cost-reduction opportunities.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s / MBA desirable). - Experience:
7+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with Corporate FP&A exposure preferred. - Industry Background:
Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing Standard Cost Accounting.
- Hands-on proficiency with HFM (Hyperion Financial Management).
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel Macros, PowerPoint, Word).
- Plus:
Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) platforms or scripting languages (Python, VB, JavaScript, .NET).
- Deep understanding of full financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with executive leadership experience.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities with a high sense of urgency.
