Qualifications &

Experience:

• Active Special Education teaching certification
• Experience in self-contained learning environments preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities

• Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and general education teachers

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a self-contained K-2 classroom serving 8-10 students with mild intervention needs or a middle school class with 8 students requiring intense interventions
• Differentiate instruction to meet the unique academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of each student
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Work closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure best outcomes for students
• Utilize data-driven strategies to monitor student progress and inform instructional adjustments
• Establish a positive classroom culture focused on growth, respect, and achievement
• Maintain detailed records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
