The Role of a Pump Engineer

Metcor Pumps is looking for a dynamic and experienced Pump Engineer with proven experience with pump maintenance and repair, specifically in the wastewater industry. The main purpose of this role is conduct inspections and troubleshooting, providing solutions for commercial clients.

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of pumps including industrial pump systems.
• Conduct inspections and troubleshooting to diagnose pump issues accurately.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide customised solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all field operations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding pump operation and maintenance.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with clients.
• Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned projects efficiently and within deadlines.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts used.
• Stay updated on the latest pump technologies and industry trends to enhance knowledge and skills.

• Previous experience working as a Pump Engineer.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve pump-related issues.
• Knowledge of on-site treatment plants and pump stations (both foul and clean water).
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a field-based setting.
• IT literate and able to provide accurate job updates on our PDA system.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and respond to emergency callouts when required.
• Valid UK Driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.
