JOB OVERVIEW

We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance activities within a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you will oversee personnel, equipment, and maintenance initiatives that drive safety, quality, responsiveness, and cost objectives.

This position is ideal for a hands‑on leader who enjoys solving complex equipment issues, developing teams, and collaborating across departments to support manufacturing excellence.

WHAT'S THE JOB?
  • Implement and actively support corporate safety policies, initiatives, and plant housekeeping standards.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions, determine root causes, and initiate immediate and long‑term corrective actions.
  • Support operational goals related to Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost (SPQRC).
  • Supervise construction and maintenance projects.
  • Assist with implementing divisional and corporate policies.
  • Maintain project schedules and quality requirements.
  • Enforce safety practices and housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
  • Train, develop, coach, and evaluate maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national labor agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve operational and maintenance challenges.
  • Implement planned and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Complete work assignments within budget, staffing, and timing requirements.
  • Coordinate maintenance resources, materials, and equipment to support manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor maintenance performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
WHAT'S NEEDED?
  • 5-7 years of maintenance, manufacturing, or related supervisory experience.
  • Experience supervising a multi‑trade workforce.
  • Knowledge of machine, assembly, and/or facility maintenance operations.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and concepts.
  • Knowledge of tooling, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
  • Experience promoting and maintaining a safe industrial work environment.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics, including trigonometry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Lotus Notes or similar email communication systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
  • Willingness to work any assigned shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Associate degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • Skilled trades training or equivalent technical training preferred.
