Duration: 12 Weeks
Shift: Nights – 3x12 Hours (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
- Every 3rd Weekend Required
- Block schedules are not available
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience (1.5 years may be considered for screening)
- Active Indiana RN License (or compact license, if applicable)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- TNCC preferred
- Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred
- Experience in a General Emergency Department (Adult & Pediatric)
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Travel experience not required
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a busy Critical Access Hospital Emergency Department.
- Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and prioritize care for emergency conditions.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications, blood products, IV sedation, vasopressors, and procedural sedation as indicated.
- Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, and central line care while maintaining patient safety.
- Care for patients with respiratory emergencies, neurological conditions (including CVA), and other acute illnesses and injuries.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality emergency care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
