Position Overview:
BNL High School is seeking an energetic and dedicated Assistant Cheer Coach to contribute to the development and success of our cheerleading program. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to provide training, guidance, and support to our student-athletes. If you have a passion for cheerleading and the ability to inspire teamwork and enthusiasm, we invite you to apply.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Head Coach to plan and lead effective cheerleading practices focusing on skill development, choreography, and team unity.
- Coordinating routines, performances, and appearances at school events and competitions.
- Provide personalized coaching and constructive feedback to enhance athletes' skills and performance.
- Attend all team practices, performances, and events, including potential weekend engagements.
- Foster a positive, inclusive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, respect, and camaraderie.
- Support the organization of team activities, fundraisers, and community involvement initiatives.
- Monitor the academic progress and well-being of student-athletes, promoting their holistic development.
- Adhere to school and district policies regarding athlete conduct, safety, and sportsmanship.
- Assist with equipment management, venue setup, and other logistical tasks.
- Previous experience in cheerleading, whether as a participant or coach, is preferred.
- Coaching experience is advantageous, particularly in high school or youth settings.
- Familiarity with cheerleading techniques, choreography, and safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills to provide clear instructions, feedback, and interaction with athletes, parents, and staff.
- Positive and enthusiastic approach to coaching, fostering team spirit and motivation.
- Ability to inspire athletes to reach their potential and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
- Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all team members.
- Availability during after-school hours, evenings, and weekends for practices, performances, and events.
- Completion of necessary background checks and clearances as per school district policy.
- Commitment to upholding school and district guidelines and procedures.
