$225,000 - $250,000 plus bonus and equity
A publicly traded, clinical-stage life sciences company is seeking a Director of Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting to lead technical accounting, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance. This newly created, high-visibility role offers the opportunity to partner with executive leadership while helping shape the company's financial reporting strategy in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all SEC reporting, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, earnings releases, and financial disclosures
- Serve as the company's technical accounting expert on U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
- Research and document complex accounting matters and new accounting standards
- Drive SOX compliance, internal controls, and disclosure governance
- Partner with executive leadership, Legal, FP&A, Internal Audit, and external auditors
- Enhance reporting processes and strengthen financial controls across the organization
- CPA with 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Big 4 public accounting and/or public company experience
- Deep expertise in SEC reporting, U.S. GAAP, and technical accounting
- Proven experience with SOX compliance and disclosure controls
- Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Life sciences or biotech experience is a plus
