Senior Administrative Support Specialist
As a Senior Administrative Support Specialist, you will play an important role in maintaining the administrative backbone within a DoD setting. This cleared DoD role requires a highly organized professional who can manage executive calendars, coordinate taskers and staff actions, support classified meetings and senior-level engagements, and ensure critical documentation and projects remain on track. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting senior government or military leadership and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
This role requires employee pass background screening for SAP.
Responsibilities may include:
- Records Management
- Manage Workflow Taskers between the Directorate, Division, Branch and program levels
- Collaborate with PEG and Branch Admin Support Personnel
- Review documents for approval and clarity
- Prepare Status Update briefings for leadership meetings
- Take meeting minutes and follow-up with action items
- Assist with travel planning and arrangement
- Use discernment in finding/recommending the right person/people to work on a particular task
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must hold a current top-secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Must pass a background screening for SAP
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience supporting senior leadership.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, collaboration tools, and web-based government systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and support classified activities in accordance with established procedures.
- Experience with Defense Travel System (DTS), DAF
365, and DoD administrative processes. - Experience coordinating executive-level meetings, briefings, and stakeholder engagements.
- Familiarity with DoD workflows, staff packages, and government correspondence processes.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD OR, 15 years of directly related experience, eight of which must be in the DoD
The expected annual salary range: $80k - $90k. Salary is dependent upon the role and associated responsibilities, candidate's experience, and qualifications to include education/training, and key skills. All positions at Applied Research Solutions are subject to background investigations. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history and identity check.
