Summary of role
The Senior Specialist, Order Management Systems helps lead, support and improve optimizing ordering platforms, enhancing customer and user experience, and improving process efficiency.
The position combines operational support, business process analysis, and system administration responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to support OTC (order-to-cash) systems, implement enhancements, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting to the Director of Commercial Order Management Systems, this role partners cross-functionally to deliver process improvements, support and implement system enhancements, and maintain operational stability across OTC workflows.
The role requires a data-driven, problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage timelines, drive project execution, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
This position is based in Bedford, MA and requires a presence on-site (two/three) days per week, and open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day order-to-cash system processes, functionality and platform administrative responsibilities.
- Process Improvement – Identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve customer and provider experience.
- Use data analysis and process mapping to identify root causes and prioritize improvement opportunities.
- System & Platform Support – Partner with 3 rd party software vendor and internal technical teams to support OTC systems, integrations, and enhancements. Ensure stability, data integrity, and responsiveness to business needs.
- Issue Resolution & Escalation Management – Lead resolution of complex order issues, collaborating across teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial, and IT teams to ensure alignment across order processing, billing, and revenue recognition activities.
- Launch & Change Support – Support new product launches, system updates, and process changes to ensure readiness and smooth execution.
- User training (and documentation to support), onboarding/offboarding and change management.
