Summary

We are seeking a qualified and caring Registered Dental Assistant to join a Periodontal Specialty Practice Focused on Excellence, Innovation, and Whole-Health Care.

  • As a privately owned, independent periodontal specialty practice, we are committed to providing exceptional periodontal and dental implant care while creating outstanding patient experiences through teamwork, compassion, and clinical excellence.
  • Work alongside a Periodontists who is passionate about integrating advanced technology, biologics, laser therapy, and whole-health principles into periodontal and implant care.

Working Conditions/

Physical Requirements:
  • Standing 80%
  • Sitting 20%
  • Moderate noise levels from dental and other Lab equipment.
  • Medical, office, and lab setting.
  • Minimum lifting requirements of 35 pounds in order to transfer equipment and pack and unpack supplies.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, and position changes in order to examine and service patients.
  • Exceptional hand eye coordination and control in order to use dental implements for exams, to provide dentist assistance, and mixing and/or placing materials on dental tools, products, and in mouths.
  • Frequent client and interoffice personnel interaction as this position is chair-side to dentist and heavily dependent on excellent customer interaction.
  • Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) as required for mixing and placing materials on tools and in mouths.
  • Potential occupational exposure to trace amounts of nitrous oxide.
Schedule (

Work hours:

1/2 hour before opening and 1/2 hour after closing)
  • Monday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday:
    Off
  • Thursday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Responsibilities
  • Assist the periodontist during periodontal and dental implant procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and surgical operatories.
  • Provide exceptional patient care before, during, and after treatment.
  • Take digital radiographs , CBCT, Intra-oral scans and assist with digital workflows.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA and infection control standards.
  • Educate patients regarding treatment plans and post-operative care.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place supply orders as needed.
  • Support care for medically compromised patients.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative office culture.
Qualifications
  • Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
  • Current Radiology Certification.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Surgical assisting experience preferred- 2 yrs.
  • Familiarity with digital workflows preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental procedures and treatment planning.
  • Some knowledge of CDT dental codes and insurance processes preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
