Summary:
The Career Ambassador will work with OCIL staff to provide student services related to career exploration, professional development and Learn & Earn opportunities. The position offers a unique opportunity to develop the following professional skills: problem solving, teamwork, sales & marketing, research, one-on-one and group communication, customer service - all of which are highly valued by employers across all industries.
and Responsibilities
- Increase students' familiarity with and utilization of Handshake and Focus2
- Assist with career fairs, represent Office of Career Integrated Learning [OCIL] at open houses and other relevant campus-wide events
- Assist OCIL staff in editing students' resumes and cover letters
- Help students create / update Linked In profiles
- Help with data management and research projects, as needed
- In collaboration with OCIL staff, prepare and deliver presentations to students to promote key programs, best practices and resources
- Ensure smooth running of OCIL by proactively assisting with various administrative tasks
- Offer one-to-one and group peer mentoring opportunities for Learn & Earn students
- Must be in good academic and student conduct standing
