Hardware Test Engineer

Alexander Technology is partnering with a Robotics client looking to hire a Hardware Test Engineer to join their team. This will be a 6-month contract position, with potential to convert to permanent.

No C2C Candidates will be considered.

We are seeking a Senior Hardware Quality Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of advanced robotic and automated systems. This role leads hardware quality initiatives across the product lifecycle, including testing, verification & validation, root cause analysis, and supplier quality, while partnering closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

• Lead hardware quality assurance, testing, and V&V for new and existing designs
• Develop, manage, and execute test plans and test cases using Test Rail
• Create and maintain inspection procedures and quality documentation
• Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and defect resolution
• Support ECOs, design reviews, RMAs, and supplier quality activities
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline
• 3–5+ years of hardware quality or reliability engineering experience
• Hands‑on experience with Test Rail or similar test management tools
• Strong background in hardware testing, risk management (DFMEA/PFMEA), and structured problem‑solving methods
• Experience working cross‑functionally in a matrixed engineering environment
